TL;DR: Best Buy and Costco are currently running some of the strongest TV promotions of the season, with open-box models at Best Buy discounted up to 60% off and Costco sets starting at just $330. Shoppers who don’t mind previous-generation packaging or a display unit can save hundreds compared to buying new.
Best Buy: Open-Box Is Where the Biggest Savings Live
Best Buy’s open-box TV selection is the headline here. The retailer’s open-box deals are currently discounted by as much as 60% off, while a separate open-box TV outlet event offers savings of up to 50% off. These sets are typically customer returns or display models that have been inspected and marked down, making them a practical route to a premium panel at a mid-range price.

Best Buy: New TV Deals Up to 53% Off
If you’d rather avoid open-box, Best Buy’s standard TV promotions still reach up to 53% off across a range of brands and sizes. It’s worth comparing both sections side by side — occasionally a new-in-box sale price comes close to the open-box rate.
Costco: TVs From $330
Costco’s current TV event starts at $330, giving bulk-club members a budget-friendly entry point plus the warehouse chain’s usual extended warranty coverage on many sets.
